The posterior teeth have grooves that facilitate the retention of food. Tooth grooves are part of the anatomy of the occlusal surface of the posterior teeth. It is a short and painless procedure that does not require anesthesia. The practitioner will apply a dental sealant (protective resin) which will serve to close those spaces that make up the enamel of the teeth. The treatment is considered definitive; however, it requires a check-up every 6 months to verify its wear and tear or detachment.<\/p>
